Strategy

We help you imagine what’s next, and build a clear path to get there.

Strategy is a chance to pause, reflect, and reimagine. It’s also a chance to connect—across teams, with your community, and with the deeper purpose that drives your work. We lead strategic planning processes that are creative, collaborative, and rooted in real-world insight, so your next steps feel grounded, supported and truly yours.

What makes our approach different?

We centre community engagement.
Good strategy starts by listening. Our planning processes are designed to surface local wisdom, lived experience, and bold ideas from those who know the work best—whether that's community or team members, partners or other interested parties. We believe that co-created strategies have the most positive impact.

We connect the dots.
We help you see the big picture, and how all the pieces fit together. From vision to action, we work alongside you to build clarity around goals, define priorities, and make decisions that align with your values, mandate, and capacity.

We keep it practical.
We know a strategic plan is only helpful if it’s usable. We distill big conversations into clear direction, language that resonates, and steps you can take within the capacity you have available. We’re not here to overcomplicate—we’re here to help you move forward with confidence and purpose.

Our work

Township of Centre Wellington

tante, in partnership with Oosterbaan Strategy, developed a 10-year comprehensive Economic Development and Tourism Strategy for Centre Wellington, ON, providing a long-term roadmap for sustainable growth, business success, and destination development rooted in community values and demographic trends. The strategy's development integrated quantitative and qualitative research, including robust and creative community engagement. Final recommendations were structured around seven pillars, aligning economic and tourism development with broader municipal priorities while balancing investment attraction with quality of life and sustainability.

Town of Sylvan Lake, AB

In collaboration with a diverse team of collaborators, tante and Ethnomad developed a 10-year Destination Leadership & Management Plan (DLMP) for the Town of Sylvan Lake, AB. Developed “with the community, for the community,” the DLMP aims to empower locals to leverage tourism to enhance pride of place and quality of life. In addition to in-depth desk research and reviews of multiple local, regional, and provincial reports, creative and robust community engagement informs the final strategy. The DLMP’s strategic directions, recommendations, and actions encompass product development, visitor management, organizational capacity, public-private-community partnerships, placemaking, marketing, and more.

Hamilton Festival Theatre Company

As the Hamilton Festival Theatre Company navigates a new arts & culture landscape post-pandemic, the organization was seeking support to develop a community-informed Marketing & Growth Plan. In collaboration with Le Code Switch and KS-Marketing, tante developed a three-year strategy. The process included case study research and in-depth engagement with the HFTco team, partners and community members. The final deliverables included recommendations for digital & traditional marketing, content development and resource allocation, with well-defined timelines, budgets and KPIs.
